Otto Ralph Summers, son of Mr. & Mrs. Charles Summers was born at New Sharon, Iowa Jan. 20,1902 and died at Grinnell, July 28,1925 at the age of 23 years, 6 months and 8 day.
The first of four years of his life were spent at New Sharon after which the family resided for several years in Ottumwa where Otto finished the work of grade schools. Since 1919 he has resided in the Grinnell and vicinity.
On December 31,1923 he was married to Clara Olga Stemsrude and was employed on a from 6 miles north of Malcom at the time of his death. One son, Dwight James, was born Feb. 3, 1925 and passed away June 15.
Besided his young wife he leaves to mourn his going his father and mother, three brothers, Cecil, Orville and Junior and one sister, Marvel, all of whom are at home except Cecil who is in Australia.
Otto was a quiet and unassuming in his manner, but as a young man of fine character and purpose, affectionate in his home and a good neighbor, qualities which remembered make him deeply mourned today.
The funeral was conducted by Rev. W.B. Wilson was held at the home of Mrs. Stemsrude, 1616 Seventh Ave, at 2 o'clock Thursday and the body laid at rest in Hazelwood.
