Casketbearers were Leslie Alterson, Arthur Iverson, Lawrence Iverson, Lester Osborn, Raymond Osborn and Ernest Thorson with burial in Hazelwood cemetery with Smith Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Bouma died Sunday Nov. 21 following and illness of several weeks. She was 49 years old.
Native to Sioux County, Iowa, she was born March 25, 1905, the daughter of the late Berger Stemsrud and Olio Mabel Christianson. She came to Grinnell with her parents when she was two years old.
Affiliated with the Methodist Church of Grinnell, she was married to Otto Summers in 1923. He died two years later. In 1936 she was married to Frank Bouma, who died last Oct. 18.
Surviving are her mother, three brothers, Lawrence Stemsrud of Minneapolis, Bert O. Stemsrud of Montezuma, Iowa and Clinton B. Stemsrud of Webster City, Iowa; three sisters, Mrs. D.H. Black of Montezuma, Iowa, Mrs.Walter I. Shimer of Evanston, Ill., and Mrs. Leslie Latz of Waukegan, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, and one son, Dwight James Summers, who died in infancy, and her father, who died in 1940.
