On May 22, 2013, Ollie Mae Harris, age 87, was victorious over death and went to be with God, her husband Harold, and many others of her beloved family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Harris, her daughter, Darlene, her parents, LaRoy William Walls and Bertha Ardena Walls, her siblings, Odell Walls, R. J. Walls, Dovie Rogers, Jewell Uptergrove, and two grandsons, Douglass Burke and Robert Elliott. She is survived by many who knew and loved her: three daughters, Beverly Burke, Jan Elliott, Pam Brandt; grandchildren, Debbie Turnbow, Jent Burke, Richard Elliott, Jeff Carpenter, Brandy Abell and Becky Brandt; sixteen great-grandchildren; and two great great-grandchildren. Ollie Mae Harris was a prayer warrior, teacher of God's Word, and eternal partner in marriage to Harold Harris. We, the family and friends of this wonderful woman, mourn our loss, but more importantly celebrate her reunion with her beloved husband and other family and friends gone before her. She has a new body in Christ and no longer suffers the pain and tribulations of this world. We know she is happy in reunion with family and in worship of her one God, Lord, and Savior. Funeral services for Ms. Harris will be 10 a.m. Saturday, May 25, 2013 in Resthaven's Abbey Chapel with Reverend Bob Utley officiating. Burial will follow immediately in Resthaven Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends on Friday, May 24 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Resthaven.
