Octave was the 9th child of Noel and Marguerite Dion of St. Pierre les Becquets, Quebec.


Octave married Stephanie Moras 25 Aug 1874 in St. Pierre les Becquets. Her parents were Aime Moras and Adelaide Peirenne Petit.


Together they had 7 children; Joseph Octave Lorenzo (1875-aft 1910), Joseph Rosaire Antonio (1877-aft 1950), Marie Anne Florida (1879-b4 1920), Joseph Alphonse Emeril aka Emery (1881-1936), Marie Eugenie Corinne (1882- ), Marie Anne (1884-1884), and Joseph Achille Zephrin (1885-1885).


Their children Antonio and Florida moved to Ishpeming, MI around 1902.


Stephanie died 19 Aug 1885 in St. Pierre les Becquets a few months after their youngest son was born, and the son died a month later.


Octave remarried Zoe Descateaux on 27 Sep 1890 in St. Pierre les Becquets. Together they had three children; Alphanse (1891- ), Joseph Noel (1893-1956 ) and Lorenzo (1904- b4 1911).


Octave lived his whole life in St. Pierre les Becquets. After his mother's death in 1879, his father Noel lived with Octave until Noel's death in 1881.
