Services were conducted from the chapel of the Power Funeral Home in Indianola on June 22nd for Henry Melton Carwile, retired farmer, who died Sunday night, June 21st, at the South Sunflower County Hospital after having been in ill health for a number of years. He was 67.

The Rev. Kermit Canterberry, pastor of the Indianola Methodist Church, officiated with burial following in the Indianola Cemetery.

Mr. Carwile was a native of Vaiden and was a member of the Methodist Church.

He leaves his wife, the former Mary Bell Dorris of Indianola; two sons, Howard Carwile of Indianola and Billy Carwile of Memphis; two daughters, Mrs. Blanche Dickerson of Holly Ridge and Mrs. Mary D. Ezell of Greenville; and two brothers, G. A. Carwile of Winona, and Lucian Carwile of Sanco, Texas.
