Armethia Wiggins Lively, age 87, a resident of Coalfield, went asleep in Jesus on Tuesday, May 21, 2013, while surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Lively was born on the 23rd day of January, 1926, in Morgan County. She was a lifelong resident of Coalfield.

Armethia was a faithful, charter member of the Coalfield Seventh-Day Adventist Church. She knew the importance of service and she spent countless hours working in the church. She loved the Lord, her family, her friends and the community that she lived in.

Mrs. Lively lived a long life and she was full of wisdom. She often shared her knowledge about life by giving advice to family and friends. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, canning and taking care of family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Robert E. Lively; her parents, Scott and Lillian Adcock Wiggins; and by brothers, Junior, Polk and Jack Wiggins.

Mrs. Lively is survived by a son, Bobby Lively and wife, Kimberly, of Coalfield; daughters, Ramona Lively Bentz and husband, Jerry, of Coalfield, Rhonda Lively Becker and husband, John, of Ten Mile, Lori Ann Lively of Knoxville, Lisa Kay Lively of Coalfield and Glenneva Johnson, her sister, of Coalfield, whom she considered as her own daughter; grandchildren, David, Mark and Ryan Lively, Staci Bentz Moore, Trevor Bentz, Sonja Strang Meadows, Lee Ann Strang Crabtree, Cristi and Tanner Richardson and Carla Denton; and by 17 great-grandchildren.

The family expresses their love and gratitude to Theresa Adcock, who effectually and tenderly, cared for Mrs. Lively. The love was returned to Theresa, because Mrs. Lively truly loved her, as well. Additionally, the family wishes to thank the staff at Harriman Health Care and Rehabilitation Center, for going beyond the norm in providing exemplary care to Mrs. Lively.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 24, 2013, at Sharp Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 8 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Lonnie Cook officiating.

Burial and graveside services will be held at noon Saturday, May 25, 2013, at the Adcock Cemetery in Coalfield.

Sharp Funeral Home is serving the Lively family. An online guest book is available at www.sharpfh.com.
