FRITCH — Rebecca Rose Epps Black, 58, of Fritch, entered peacefully into eternal peace on Sunday, May 19, 2013, at BSA Hospice in Amarillo, Texas.

Rebecca was born on January 19, 1955, in Centre, Alabama to the late Bill and Louise Epps. She married Steward Nick Black of Tulia, Texas on June 19, 1978, in DeKalb County, Alabama. Rebecca held various jobs throughout her life, but her favorite and most rewarding was that of being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Those that knew her knew that her family was the most important thing in her life. She also loved to
help others.

She is survived by her husband, Nick, of 34 years. She is also survived by her son, Lynn Black and his wife Pam Black of Amarillo and son Michael Black also of Amarillo. She adored her four grandchildren; Kiersan Black and Bailey Black of Spearman and Jazmyn Black and Bryson Black of Amarillo. Her surviving six siblings are W.H. Epps, Beatrice McBrayer, Jessie Epps, Buddy Epps, Junior Epps, and Dale Epps. She also has a sizeable extended family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five siblings; Barbara Vaughn, Richard Epps, Rachael Richardson, Peggy Bentley, and Randy Epps.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6 - 8 p.m. at Cox Funeral
Home, 4180 Canyon Drive, Amarillo, Texas.

A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive, Amarillo, Texas and officiated by Pastor Don Weemes of Victory Church. Burial will be in will follow in Tulia at rose Hill Cemetery.

The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to BSA Hospice and staff for their never ending love and support in her
final days.

Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live." John 11:25.
