Yvonne Jardneaux Alexander, 84, died at 5:10 p.m. Sunday, May 19, 2013, in her home surrounded by her family..

Yvonne was a native of Southwest Louisiana and attended Houston River Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing with a cane pole. Her favorite fish was White Perch. The Sabine Reserve was her favorite place to fish, with second place going to the area just behind the Tourist Bureau in Vinton. She also traveled to Oklahoma for visiting and the hunting season. She enjoyed visiting with and cooking for her family. Yvonne was a caretaker when needed. Her motto was "have bag, will travel". She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother.

Survivors include her sons, James Robert Alexander and wife Vicky of Choupique, and David Glenn Alexander and wife Yvonne R. of Starks; daughters, Dorothy Lynn Hebert and husband Steve of Ragley, Janice Stinson and husband Jim of Sulphur, and Judy Mae Juhl and husband Alan of Medford, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Clayton Juhl, Valerie Stinson, Keysha Nabours, Jeremy and Jason Leger, Mandy Thibodeaux, David "Bubba" Alexander, Jr, Lacy Coleman, Charlie Saulnier, Coby Alexander, Angela and Ben Hebert, and James "Peanut" Stinson; great grandchildren, Payton Sams, Nina Vollmer, Jessica Juhl, Tynlee Stinson, Alexis Nabours, Jayden, Jackson, Jenna, Savannah, Sierra, and Cameron Leger, Chandler Ashworth, Collen and Zoe Thibodeaux, Alijah and Aleigh Coleman, Skylar and Lakien Alexander, Kolby Miller and Nevaeh Hebert; great great grandchildren, Brently and Brody Nabours, and Wesley Vollmer; half brothers Chris"Baby" and Jesse Vincent; and half sister Christina "Tina" Taylor.
Pallbearers will be, Clayton Juhl, Ben Hebert, Coby Alexander, Charles Saulnier, David "Bubba" Alexander, Jr, James Stinson, Jr, Justin Stinson and Jeremy Leger.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Arville T. "Red" Alexander; father, Paul Jardeneaux; mother, Ida Cain Vincent; son Murrel Ray Alexander; grandson, Alan Keith Hebert, and two sisters, Agnes Smith and Eva Marie Pharis.

Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday, May 24, 2013, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. The Rev David Holder will officiate. Burial will be in Royer Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Thursday, and from 8 a.m. until service Friday, all at the funeral home.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff of Brighton Bridge Hospice, Dr Brian Clements, and DeQuincy Home Health.
