Bence James Castilow, 89, of Waco, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2013. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m., Friday, May 24, at Oakwood Cemetery with Deacon Hank Norris officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, May 23, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home.
Bence was born in Oletha, Texas, to the late Walter and Eunice (Smith) Castilow. He worked for the City of Waco and was a member of Primrose Baptist Church in Waco.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Aline Truehitt Castilow, mother of his daughter; and his second wife, Wanda Jean Castilow.
He is survived by his daughter, Jewell Markwardt and husband, Eddie, of Waco; grandchildren, Steven Markwardt and wife, Wendy, Carla Finley and husband, Willie, and Cristen Conner and husband, Charlie; great-grandchildren, Nicholes, Taylor, Caitlin, Chip, Corbin and Collin; sister, Birdie Young; other relatives and many friends.
