Myrtle Irene Adkins, 80 of Indianapolis passed away on May 21, 2013. She was born January 15, 1933 in Terre Haute, IN to Henry Harrison and Lelia Ruth Green Adkins.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Shirley Adkins.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her son, Bill Adkins, daughter, Shirlene (Terry) Harton, daughter-in-law, Jeanine Adkins, sister, Myrna Brokaw and 2 grandsons, Jeremy and Ryan Adkins.
Irene enjoyed life to the fullest. She enjoyed bowling, golf, traveling, playing Nintendo and Wii and gardening. She was quick with a smile and a laugh.
