Biography upon memorial transfer 7 March 2021:
Port Jervis - Word was received here this morning of the death of Charles S. Mitchell, a former resident of Cuddebackville and retired Erie Railroad employee, at his home at St. Petersburg, Fla., March twenty-eighth.

Mr. Mitchell was born in Cuddebackville October twenty-seventh, 1867, a son of James and Patience Jane Case Mitchell. He was married twice. His first wife was Lulu Putney of Howells, who died in 1933. In 1940 he married Miss Florence Fish of Roselle Park, N.J.

He was employed for many years by the Erie Railroad.

Besides his wife he is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Helen Ellis and Mrs. Dorothy West, both of New Brunswick, N.J., and Mrs. Kathryn Mitchell of Fulton; two sons, Charles and George of New Brunswick, N.J.; and one sister, Mrs. Nellie Cuddeback of New York City.

Funeral services will be held in New Brunswick and burial will be in Howells Cemetery.
