Constance "Connie"(Couture) Brothers - Callahan, 71, of Clear Water Florida, died unexpectedly Thursday June 20, 2002, in Countryside Mease Hospital, Safety Harbor Florida.


Connie was born in Williamstown Vermont on Oct 6,1930 the daughter of Leopold George William Couture and Ella (Martin) Couture.


In 1936, her father George passed away, and in 1939,her mother Ella joined her father, leaving three young children. Fortunately, George's sister, Charlotte "Lottie" and her husband, Leo Myers, became custodians over the children and raised them as their own. The children loved them dearly and were always extremely grateful.


Connie worked as a seamstress in Vermont, and a Certified nurses aid in Massachusetts. Later in life, she assisted her late husband David Callahan in a Tax Consulting Business.


Connie is survived by her loving children, all from her first marriage, daughters Jacqueline Ella Nutt, & Charlotte Agnes Perkins of Clearwater Florida; and her sons, Robert Russell Brothers & James Norman Brothers of St Albans Vermont, Walter Frances Brothers of Clearwater Florida, and Richard Arthur Brothers of Fayetteville North Carolina, her oldest Sister Lucienne Jane Angolano as well as her sister-in-Law Mildred Couture, both of Colchester Vermont. In addition she is survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.


She was predeceased by her parents, her brothers, Leopold Couture and William Roy Couture, her guardians, Leo and Charlotte Myers , her first Husband Robert Russell Brothers, and second husband David Callahan.


she will be cremated, and her ashes will be returned to Williamstown, Vermont(by her eldest son Robert),here she will be buried along side her mother and Maternal Grandparents, in the Martin family plot.
