March 11, 1952 - Algona Upper Des Moines - Lu Verne - Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bigings attended the funeral of Mrs. Cyrilla Holmes, 88, Sunday at the Livermore Methodist church. The Rev. Robert Phillips officiated and interment was in the Livermore cemetery. Mrs. Holmes was a sister of Hiram Hewitt, father of Mrs. Bigings. Mrs. Holmes died Friday, February 29, at the Moen nursing home in Humboldt after a long illness.
