Marjorie L. "Taylor" Lane, 86, of Kansas City, MO passed away May 18, 2013.
She was born July 18, 1926, the daughter of George C. Taylor and Agnes F. Taylor.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10am, Friday, May 24, 2013 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 4737 N. Cleveland Avenue, KCMO, of which she was a charter member and belonged to the altar and rosary societies. Visitation will be one hour prior to Mass. Burial in Resurrection North Cemetery, 5001 NE Cookingham Dr, KCMO. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation to Harvesters Food Network, 3801 Topping Ave, KCMO 64129, or Wayside Waifs, 3901 Martha Truman Rd, KCMO 64137.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Lawrence L. Lane, January 31, 2008, after 61 years of marriage. Survivors are daughter, Sherry C. Lane, Galveston, TX; sons, Harry L. Lane, KCMO; and Tom P. Lane, Anacortes, WA; grandchildren, Jim Dobberstine, and Travis Lane, both of Houston, TX; Matt Lane and wife Melissa, KCMO; and Hunter Lane, Anacortes, WA and great grandson, Grayson Lane, KCMO; stepdaughter, Teresa Dobberstine and step grandchildren, Brayden and Kayla of Houston, TX.
Marjorie enjoyed travel, photography, card club, gardening, nature, animals, especially her dogs, Sheba and Mitsi and the Kansas City Royals.
Marjorie was formerly employed by the War Assets Administration. She left to become a wife, homemaker and mother of three. When the last son went off to college, she became a realtor, which she enjoyed very much.
