Evelyn Winter Matich 82, passed away May 17, 2013 at St. Bernardine Medical Center in San Bernardino. Evelyn was born in Norton, West Virginia and was a resident of San Bernardino for 49 years. She was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Cathedral, loved to play Mahjong with her friends and read with her monthly book club.

She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Tresham and her husband Errol of Sacramento; 4 sons, John M. Matich and his wife Margaret of Redlands, Stephen A. Matich and his wife Paulette of Yucaipa, Robert M. Matich and his wife Ann of San Bernardino, Patrick A. Matich and his wife Guillermina of San Bernardino; 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin Matich in 2008.

A Prayer Service will be held Friday, May 24, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. and the Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 3:30 p.m., both at Our Lady of the Rosary Cathedral, 2525 N. Arrowhead Avenue, San Bernardino. Following the Mass, a reception will be held at the National Orange Show Events Center. Interment will be private at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery in Colton. Donations may be made in lieu of flowers in Memory of Evelyn Winter Matich, C/O Sisters of Charity of The Incarnate Word, Villa de Matel, 6510 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023.
