Dexter Owen Tanner of Waco died Sunday at his home. He was 72.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. today at Dawson Cemetery, the Rev. Klel Quesenberry officiating.
Mr. Tanner was born Feb. 20 1919, in Dawson and was raised there. He had lived in Waco since 1945, and was retired from the maintenance department of Hillcrest Baptist Madical Center.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two brothers, Rovene Tanner on Bakersfield, Calif., and Fred Tanner of Carrollton, Tex.: two sisters, Robbie Nell Adams of Dawson and Alto Faye Brink of Waco: several nieces and nephews.
Wade Funeral Home in Hubbard is in charge of arrangements.
