Mrs. Howell, daughter of James Jason and Etta Izetta Napier Wilson, was born January 28, 1914, in Hayti, Missouri. She was owner/operator of a boarding home and was in the home healthcare profession. Mrs. Howell enjoyed gardening and was a member of the West Doniphan Missionary Baptist Church.
Surviving are six children: Willard Howell and Evelyn Webster, both of Doniphan, Brenda (and Jim) Bizzell and Georgia (and Shelvie) Stephens, both of Poplar Bluff, Thomas (and Becky) Howell of Potosi, Missouri, and Richard (and Margaret) Howell of Ellsberry, Missouri; two daughters-in-law, Alberta Diaz of Nashville, Tennessee, and Cindy Howell of Poplar Bluff; and 20 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and 23 great-great grandchildren.
Mrs. Howell was preceded in death by her parents; six children, Mary Ruth Howell, Sheila Howell, John Howell, Ralph Truman Howell, Trooper Kenneth Howell and Marilyn June Howell; three sisters, Myrtle Wilson, Lottie Jackson and Velma Stevens; three brothers, Harvey Wilson, Mays Francis Wilson and Charley Wilson; and three grandchildren, Penny Howell, Thomas Howell, Jr., and Sherry Stephens Downen.
