Loretta Gail Gipson Sowards, 76, of Hurricane died Sunday, Nov. 8, 2009, in CAMC Teays Valley Hospital after a short illness.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis, and sons, Dennis Clay Jr. and Anthony L.
Surviving: Cheryl Sowards of Hurricane, Donna Buchanan of Cambridge, Ohio, Tina Crum of Cleveland, Ohio, Jeffrey A. and Darrell J. Sowards, both of Huntington, and David E. of Hurricane; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Graveside funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10, in Kingery Cemetery, Hurricane, with the Rev. Ray Sovine officiating.
Friends may call from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday at Allen Funeral Home, Hurricane.
