Theodore was born in February 1870 in Reinsfeld (now Kuybeshev), Samara, Russia. His parents were Thomas (1826-1912) and Elizabeth (Haht) Koshinsky (1824-1907). In 1903, Theodore left Russia with Magdalena "Mabel" Eberenz, who he had married in 1897, and their two children, Anna and Herman. They stayed in Winnipeg, Manitoba for a short while. He filed for a homestead in the Jansen, Saskatchewan area and returned to Winnipeg and worked for the C.P.R. Magdalena died.
On 11 November 1903, he married Amelia Sawatsky in Winnipeg, Manitoba. In 1917, they moved to Jansen to homestead. They raised Adolph Dalke (Amelia's son with Gustav Dalke), Clara, Robert, Reinhold, Gustav, Edward, Lewis, Gertrude and Elsie. Herman died in 1919 from the flu. In the 1930's, they bought a threshing machine and tractor. Lewis, Bob and Gus served in World War II, returned home and farmed in the area. Theodore died in September 1947.
