She was born December 13, 1915, one of 13 children to Houston Herbert Parks and Mary Edna Connell Parks.
Nellie was born and raised in Rigby, Idaho, and attended schools there. She married Charles Hall on March 26, 1934 and moved to Hamer that same year. Nellie and Charlie had three children: Colleen, Ron and Shirley.
Nellie was involved in many activities, including serving as Secretary of The Madison Cutter Association. She was a member of the Hamer Lions Club, Senior Citizens, and Friends of the Library. She also served as a Justice of the Peace in Hamer for a time, and worked in various potato plants and processing facilities.
She enjoyed people and shared many stories and jokes. She was known for her quick wit, great sense of humor, and she always had a song to sing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie; and daughters, Colleen George and Shirley Koch.
She is survived by her son, Ron (Eileen) Hall, of Roberts; brother, Walter Parks, and sisters, Grace Calderwood and Edna Jean Blaylock, all of CA; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Nellie, our mom, grandma and friend will be missed by her large extended family and many friends.
A memorial service will be held at the Senior Center in Mud Lake on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at 1:00 p.m.

A private graveside service will follow at West Jefferson Cemetery.
