Services for Hazel Dunbar-Gill, 54, of Natchez, who died Monday, May 13, 2013, at University Medical Center in Jackson, will be at 11 a.m. Sunday at Jerusalem Baptist Church No. 2 with the Rev. Willie Anderson officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home on Pilgrim Blvd. and from 10 a.m. until service time Sunday at the church.

Mrs. Gill was born Sept. 24, 1958, in Natchez, the daughter of L. J. Dunbar Sr. and Luella "Baby Sis" Geter Dunbar.

She was baptized at the age of 12 at Jerusalem Baptist Church No. 2 in July of 1970 by the late Rev. Shed Baldwin. She served as church secretary for several years before relocating to Charlotte, N.C. Hazel was a 1977 graduate of South Natchez High School and she attended Copiah-Lincoln Community College in Natchez. He was a former employee of KFC in Natchez. After moving to North Carolina, she was employed by Lance Cookie Factory and a medical supply company, where she worked until her health began to fail. She loved to cook, read, watch movies and spend time with family and friends. Hazel met and married her husband, Donald Gill, in April of 2007.

Mrs. Gill was preceded in death by her father, husband, grandparents and one brother-in-law, Albert O. Fleming.

Survivors include a loving and devoted son, Brian M. Williams and fiance', Malaka Denise, of Charlotte, N. C.;mother, Luella "Baby Sis" Dunbar of Natchez; two stepchildren, Shannoll Edmond and husband, Larry, and Brandon Jones, all of Charlotte; three sisters, Joyce D. Fleming and Barbara Dunbar, both of Natchez, and a very devoted caregiver sister, Velma Dunbar Edwards and husband, Rod, of Jacksonville, Fla.; three brothers, Grant Green and wife, Ernestine, of Natchez, L. J. Dunbar Jr. and wife, Josephine, of Tallulah, La., and Cleveland Dunbar and wife, Bianac, of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla.; one aunt, Mary Van Wright of Port Arthur, Texas; one step grandson; one special niece, Latrice A. Jackson and husband, Melvin, of Tampa; four special nephews, two of which she reared as her own sons, Anthony R. Dunbar and wife, Stacie, of Charlotte, Tobias "Toby" Dunbar of Natchez, Gabriel Edwards of Jacksonville, and Marus Amos of San Diego; three god sisters, Augustine Reynold and LaDonna Green Moore and husband, Cleveland, all of Natchez, and Sandy Butler of Biloxi; nine special friends, Dell Thompson and wife, Clary, of South Carolina, Carolyn Blair and Doris Blair of Lancaster, S. C., Elaine Nance and husband, John, and Joseph K. Williams and wife, Debbie, all of Charlotte, Carolyn Marvel of Alabama, Paula Davis of Michigan, Gwen Smith Johnson and Eloise Jones Brown, both of Natchez; and a number of other nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
