Watertown- Cynthia M. Leonard, 50, Sawdy Rd., Watertown, passed away Thursday evening at her home surrounded by her family and under the care of Hospice of Jefferson Co.

Calling hours will be Monday, May 20th from 4 pm - 7 pm at the Reed & Benoit Funeral Home. Private burial and graveside services will be at the Valley View Cemetery, So. Otselic, NY.

She was born in Cortland February 8, 1963, a daughter to Russell and Judy Bassett Falter. Cynthia had worked at Stream and Blockbuster Video, both in Watertown, until retiring due to ill health.

Cynthia is survived by her father and step-mother, Russell and Linda Falter, Cortland. A sister Marjorie Falter and Richard, Dexter; a brother Russell C. Falter and Kathy, Glenfield. Niece and nephew, Shiloh and Mason Schloop, Dexter. Her companion, Jamie C. Granger, Watertown. Aunts, Uncles and Cousins, her special friend Kimberly Bishop and her Great Dane, Boo.

She was predeceased by her mother, Judy, a son James E. Leonard III and a daughter Jessica M. Leonard.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Bonnie Trudeau with the Oncology Department at Samaritan Medical Center and to Charlene Shepard with Hospice, for their care and compassion.
