Mary Donaldson was born Sept 9, 1918 to Walter Robert & Mary Morgan Donaldson in Ogden, Weber, Utah. She moved to Price Utah and attended school there. She was on her high school's tennis team and was good friends with Lena Janet Nielsen, who later became her husband Leo's brother's wife. Mary was introduced to Leo by his cousin Rhea Robertson. Mary did stenographic work in carbon County Department of Public Welfare office. Since she lived close to Leo's house many activities brought them together. When World War II erupted Mary moved to Ogden Utah to work in Defense. Leo was being processed to work at Hill Air Force Base, and their paths crossed again. Mary worked in personnel and was the one that processed Leo's paperwork. Mary moved back to Salt Lake to share an apartment with her Sister Maxine and brother Robert. About 6 months later Leo and Mary joined a car-pool to go to work at Hill Field. They began dating and married August 20, 1954 in the Salt Lake Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah. They had one daughter named, Jerolyn. Mary died August 8, 1994 in Murray, Salt Lake City, Utah and is buried in the Wasatch Lawn Cemetery, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
