Son of John Thomas Vickers and Louisa Margaret Baker; married Claudia J. York 3 August 1905.

Thomas Joseph Vickers, 75, of Warren, Arkansas died Sunday July 22, 1962 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Lena Godwin, of Warren. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Claudia Vickers, of Pensacola, Florida; three daughters, Mrs. Clyde Mann and Mrs. Gertrude Mann, both of Ingalls and Mrs. Godwin; three brothers, Eddie, Jack, and Grady Vickers, all of Ingalls; four sisters, Mrs. Willie Sharp, Little Rock, Mrs. Mae Clanton of Magnolia, Mrs. Bessie Knight of Warren, and Mrs. Eva Jackson of Crossett; twelve grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. He was a Primitive Baptist.
Funeral was Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Union Hill Baptist Church near Ingalls. Officiating minister for the service was Rev. John Lee Smith. Pallbearers were Sherrell Vickers, Alonzo Vickers, Hoyle Clanton, W. G. Jackson, Bobby Vickers, and Harmon Vickers. Burial was in Union Hill Cemetery.
