Sophia was the daughter of S. Aggens and Angerrethe Martins. She immigrated in 1882. She married Gustav H. L. Duncker (died in IL 1886-1890) about 1880. They were the parents of William, Nettie (1884-1980), and Caroline M (1886-1970, george Radden 1885-1925). She married Claus Aschinger on Jan 10, 1890 in Chicago, Illinois. They were the parents of John and George. She married Peter Dose on June 4, 1910.

April 8, 1937 - Carroll Daily Herald - The remains of Mrs. Peter Dohse, a former resident of Arcadia for many years, was taken to the Arcadia cemetery Sunday afternoon, for burial. Mrs. Dohse passed away at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Theo. Wiese at Centerville. S.D., with whom she had lived for the past twelve years. She suffered a stroke in October of this past year and since that time had been confined to her bed.

Mrs. Dohse was born in Germany April 15, 1856 and was baptized in the Lutheran faith in her native land. Had she lived until the 15th of April her age would have been 81 years.

Following short services in charge of Rev. David Graham, in the chapel at Centerville, S.D., the body was shipped to Maple River, and upon arrival early Sunday morning was immediately taken to the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning where the services were conducted at 1 o'clock Sunday afternoon. Burial was at 2 o'clock in the Arcadia cemetery. Rev. Mr. Steele of the Manning Presbyterian church officiated.

Mrs. Dohse is survived by four children: Mrs. Theo. Wiese of Centerville, S.D.; Mrs. Ira Hollingsworth of Springview, Neb.; J.H. Aschinger of Sioux Falls, S.D., and George Aschinger of Sioux City, Ia. She also leaves nine grandchildren, four great grand children; and two sisters: one living in Chicago and one resides in Germany.

Her husband and one child proceeded her in death. Pallbearers were: Seth Calderwood, Rudy Tank, Otto Reif, Emil Kaspersen, Edward Hennings, and Henry Jessen, all of the Arcadia community.

Those attending the funeral from a distance were: Mrs. Ira Hollingsworth and daughters, Mrs. Lee Ross and Lorraine Radden, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Radden and two sons of Springview, Neb.; Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Aschinger of Sioux Falls, S.D.; and Mr. and; Mrs. George Aschinger of Sioux City.
