ASHMORE, IL - Saben Allen Baker, 20 months, of Ashmore died at 5:08 a.m. Sunday (Feb, 24, 2002) at his residence.
A graveside service celebrating his life will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens, in Mattoon, with the Rev. John Connett officiating. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until time of service at the Epperson Funeral Chapel in Mattoon.
Saben was born Jun 5, 2000, in Mattoon, the son of Clayton Allen Baker and Tasha Zike.
He is survived by his parents of Ashmore; two brothers, Logan Nell Baker of Ashmore and Nathaniel Wayne Baker of Mattoon; grandparents, William and Deborah Groves of Ashmore, Jan Garza of Villa Grove and Glen Van Dyke of Villa Grove; great-grandparets, Marie Zike of Mattoon, Arthur Jr. Zike of Mattoon, Mildred Whitford of Freeport, and Cathy Fulk of Ville Grove. Several cousins also survive.
Saben was an inspiration to all his family. The one thing Saben has accomplished was becoming each of his family's little gardian Angel. Memorials may be made in honor of Saben's life to the donor's choice.
