Mrs. Martha Jane Bumgarner, widow of J. G. Bumgarner of 801 Daisy St., Clearfield, died last evening, Oct. 11, in the Clearfield Hospital following an extended illness. She was 81 years of age.
Mrs. Bumgarner was born in Woodland June 16, 1876, a daughter of the late John and Sarah (Lansberry) Buck.
She was a member of the Clearfield E.U.B. Church, the Dorcas Sunday School class of the church, and the W.C.T.U.
Mrs. Bumgarner is survived by a daughter, Mrs. A. L. (Vada) Boyle of Clearfield; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Gussie Henchbarger and Mrs. Margaret Robb, both of Clearfield.
Funeral services will be held from the E.U.B. Church Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock with the Revs. Harry McFarland and Homer E. Gauntt officiating. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery.
Friends may call at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Boyle, 301 Daisy St. tomorrow after 4 p.m. and until time of services on Tuesday.
