Henry Jurk, 58, of 1027 St. Clair Ave., died Sunday afternoon at Memorial Hospital following a year-long illness.
He was born in Wetzenfeld, Russia, June 1, 1900, a son of Henry and Sophia Jurk. The Jurk family immigrated to Sheboygan in 1913.
In 1914, Henry Jurk was confirmed at Bethlehem Lutheran Church and on April 26, 1924, was married to Mary Jurk, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Jurk.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, the Volga Aid Society, Ebenezer Sick Benefit Society, the Old Timers Baseball Club and Local Union No. 80. A.F.L.
He was employed at the Armour Leather Co., for the past 15 years.
Funeral services will be held at the Ballhorn Funeral Chapels at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, the Rev. Karl Schulz, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Ballhorn Chapels after noon Tuesday.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Clifford (Doris) Huebner; two sons, Roland and Harold; nine grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Sophia Jurk; three brothers, Conrad, Fred and John, all of Sheboygan and two sisters, Mrs. Anna Kraemer, Sheboygan and Mrs. Dorothy Riley, Bensenville, Ill.
His father, two brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.
