REX REUTER DIES AT AMBER JUNE 2
FUNERAL RITES SET FRIDAY AFTERNOON
AMBER….Rex Albert Reuter, 39, died Wednesday morning at John McDonald hospital at Monticello after an illness of two years.
Mr. Reuter had been in the restaurant and tavern business at Amber for 13 years.
Funeral service will be held Friday, June 4, at 1:30 p.m. from Goettsch Funeral home at Monticello and at 2 p.m. from Wayne Zion Lutheran church. Rev. F.H. Kehren will be in charge of the service.
Burial will be in the Lutheran cemetery.
Casket bearers will be cousins: Will Reuter, Gerke Hanken, Arthur Riedel, Everette Englebart, Laverne Englebart and Richard Schoon.
Rex Albert Reuter was born July 12, 1908 at Monticello, the son of Carl and Lena Decker Reuter. His early life was spent at Lyle, Minn.
He was married to Lena Schoon at Monticello on May 23, 1934. Two children, Barbara Jean, 10, and Colin John 9, were born to the union and with their mother survive.
Other survivors are two brothers, Raymond Reuter, Rose Creek, Minn., and Leo Reuter, Austin, Minn; and two half-sisters, Mrs. Clifford Liedall, Lyle Minn., and Mrs. Louie Helgens, Monticello.
