The funeral of the late Mrs. Thomas Holliday, of Plaingrove township, whose death occurred very suddenly Monday at her home, was held Wednesday morning from the Plaingrove United Presbyterian church. The services were held at 10 o'clock and were attended by very many friends of the departed. The pastor spoke very beautifully of the long and useful life that had just been drawn to a close and his words afforded much consolation to the sorrowing hearts of a wide circle of friends. The interment was at the United Presbyterian cemetery. Mrs. Holliday was stricken while apparently in excellent health. She had been about the house as usual the morning of her death and had not complained of feeling less well than ordinarily. While her husband was working in the field he heard the dinner bell ring and hurried to the house to learn what was wanted, when he found his wife suffering greatly. She had used the bell to summon her husband, but passed from earth before medical help could be summoned. Mrs. Holliday is survived by two children: Mrs. Thomas Rumberger, of Plaingrove and Miss Flo Holliday, of Pittsburg. She also leaves the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Milton Taylor, of North Beaver township; Mrs. Frank Boyd, of Volant; Mrs. John Heckathorn, of Jacksville, Butler county; Mrs. Mary Covert of Madison, O.; Mrs. E. E. Stone, of Salem, O.; James and Cyrus Strawhecker, of this city; John, of Eastbrook; David of Hickory township, and William, of Leetonia.
