Daniel West was first married to Rebecca Overstreet, 2nd to Samatha, sister of Rebecca. Daniel West's first son, John Vincent West was the son of Rebecca and Daniel West. Rebecca was supossed to have died shortly after the birth of John V., Daniel then married Samatha. The 1900 Wayne County Census states Daniel and Samatha were married 1846.
