Savannah Rutledge, 97, passed away in a local Nursing Home on May 14, 2013. She was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith. She always loved family gatherings. Visiting with her parents, brother and sisters' families was the highlight of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Rutledge, her parents, Oscar and Jenny Newman, three sisters, Mildred Brown, Opal Edwards and Rosemary Stroud. She is survived by a son Robert, a sister, Loretta Benton, and a brother Oscar Jim Newman both of Fort Smith, AR. Her Graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 17, 2013 at Roselawn Cemetery in Fort Smith, AR. Visitation will be held 5:30-7:00 p.m. Thursday, May 16, 2013 at Lewis Funeral Chapel, Fort Smith, AR. Arrangements are under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel.
