Mrs. Laura Hahn, resident of El Campo for more than 40 years and widow of Christian Hahn, pioneer Wharton County ranchman, was buried here this morning. She died Tuesday in El Campo. She is the aunt of Albert and Henry Hahn of Columbus. Mrs. Hahn was born in Columbus July 31st, 1855. She was the last surviving child of Mrs. Dilue Harris, who came to Texas with her father, Dr. P. W. Rose, in 1832. Dr. Rose later was the physician for Sam Houston's army. Surviving Mrs. Hahn are a son, Guy C. Hahn of South Houston; three daughters, Mrs. H. F. McKay of Houston and Mrs. Nellie Shropshire and Mrs. F. S. Bell of El Campo; fourteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Services were held this morning at the home and at St. Phillip's Church in El Campo. Services at Odd Fellows Rest here were under the direction of Untermeyer Bros. Active pallbearers were six of Mrs. Hahn's grandsons: T.K. Bullen, G. C. Hahn, D. G. Hahn, F. S. Bell, Jr., G. J. Willbeck and E. R. Weitzel.
