After an illness of several months during which he was confined to the farm home of his son, Richard, Chas. Huebner died Sunday afternoon at the age of 77 years, breathing his last just as people were returning from the William Kloehn funeral at the Brillion Methodist church. The funeral was arranged for Wednesday afternoon with burial in a family lot at the Forest Home cemetery.

Born in Germany on Aug. 3, 1859 Mr. Huebner came with his parents to Waukesha, Wis., when he was two years old, the family living there for eight years before coming to a location north of what is now Forest Jct. He was married Oct. 12, 1883 to Miss Bertha Schley of town Rockland, Manitowoc. After occupying for many years the farm now operated by Gustav Huebner, they retired to a home in the village about 1916.

The survivors are the widow; four daughters, Mrs. Henry M. Bastian, Mrs. Edw. Zick, and Mrs. Alfred Tamm, Brillion, and Mrs. Arthur Winkler, New London; two sons, Gustav and Richard, Forest Jct; four brothers, Manrow, Brillion, Reynold and August, Forest Jct., and Rev. F. W. Huebner, Flat Rock, O.; one sister, Mrs. Amelia Schultz, Forest Jct.; 14 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

The funeral at the Evangelical church Wednesday afternoon was conducted by the Rev. Philip Schneider.

ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION

On October 12, 1933 Brother and Sister Charles Huebner (Mr. and Mrs.) celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary here in Forest Junction at the home of their daughter, Sister H. M Bastian. Ninety-two guests attended the celebration.

At 12 o'clock, a generous meal was served. Seated beside the anniversary couple was Brother and Sister (Mr. and Mrs.) A Moede from Reedsville, Wisconsin who 50 years ago served as their wedding attendants. After the noon, under the direction of Rev. A. C. Prust, preacher from the congregation in Edgewood, Iowa, a grandchild of the couple, gave a well-done and suitable program for the celebration.
"Where Love Lives" was sung and three of the great-grandchildren sang "When They Ring the Golden Bells'. Rev. W. L. Zeller from the Evangelical congregation read Palm 103 and led the guests in prayer. Rev. F. W. Huebner, a brother of the groom gave a very practical and impressive speech.

Charles Huebner was born on August 30, 1859 in Germany. Bertha Huebner (nee Schlei) was born on September 6, 1862 in Rockland, Manitowoc County, Wisconsin. Six children were born to them, and all were in attendance at the celebration. Three daughters, Sister (Mrs.) H. M. Bastian, Sister (Mrs.) Ed Zick and Sister (Mrs.) Alfred Tamm who are faithful members of the Brillion congregation of the Bisch Methodist Church. The picture was taken on the day of the celebration. May the Lord send the couple many more blessed years.
