William Thompson Quinn died at his home in Fairbury,1129F (sic) st., on Tuesday, May 24, 1921, at the age of 60 years and 10 months. Death was cause (sic) by pneumonia, after an illness of 9 days. His wife died May 9th, just 15 days before her husband.
Mr. Quinn was born July 24, 1853 at Valpariso, Ind. He came to this vicinity in 1875 and has lived here, either on a farm near Fairbury or in town ever since. He was married December 20, 1877 to Mary Francis Fisk. They leaved two children, Wallace of North Platte, Nebr., and Leo of Fairbury; also four grandchildren, three of whom resided with them. Three daughters are dead. There are also four brothers, Joseph and Charles of Valparaiso, Ind.; Rueben and James of Fairbury and three sisters, Mrs. Catie Sawyer of Valparaiso, Sarah Conner of Stratton, Mrs. L. C. Church of Fairbury.
Funeral services were held at the Christian church in Fairbury of which Mr. Quinn was a member, on Thursday at 2 p. m. Joseph and Charles Quinn of Valpairiso (sic), Ind., Mr. and Mrs. John Conner of Stratton, Nebr., and Reuben Wagner of Red Oak, Iowa, attended the funeral from a distance.
