She was one of five children: two sisters and one brother having preceded her in death: Her entire life was spent in Daviess County, where she was known for her kindness and untiring thoughtfulness for others.
On May 28, 1891 she was united to Benjamin Bony Blythe. Almost all of her married life was spent in the home where she lived at the time of her passing. This good woman through never blessed with children of her own, was a mother to an adopted son, Orville Blythe, of Gallatin, and to a Grandniece, Clara Margaret Croy, who loved her as a mother and tenderly cared for her in her declining years
Several years ago Aunt Clara's health failed but she bore her affection most potently, always grateful for any kindness shown her and glad to welcome those who called.
She leaves to mourn her passing, the son Orville Blythe the grand niece, Mrs. Vennis Croy: one sister, Mrs. Ida Burton, several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
