Rites for Mrs. Ida C. Burton 85, were held Tuesday at 10:30 A.M. at the Hope Funeral home. Rev. C. S. Peacocke officiated and Burial was in the Brown Cemetery.
Mrs Burton passed away Saturday at the Sullivan Rest Home where she had been a patient for several days. She had suffered a broken hip two weeks ago and death was due to the injury and other complications.
Surviving are a son Virgil Rooney of Waterloo, Iowa and three grandchildren, Jack Rooney of the Smokey Hill Air Force Base in Salina, Kansas., Jimmy and Patsy of the home.
