Jackie graduated from Elwood High School.
He worked in Production at Delco Remy for 30 years retiring in 1976. Jackie attended the First Church of the Nazerene.
He enjoyed sports, especially playing golf, and gardening. The family would like to thank the 4th floor nursing staff, Dr. Green, and the other physicians at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital for all their wonderful care during his illness.
Jackie is survived by his loving spouse whom he married August 13, 1950, Jean (Wells) Cole, children, Richard (Cathy) Cole of Anderson, Debra D. Lloyd of Anderson, and Gary (Carolyn) Cole of Greenfield; six grandchildren, Brandi and Casey Cole, Jeremy (Marlo) Lloyd, Jamie (Aaron) Filbrun, Kelly (Evertt) Ailes, and Katelyn Cole; Great-Grandchildren, Austin and Haley Filbrun, and Tori and Emersynn Ailes
