Big Stone Gap, VA -Reba Blevins Cutting, 90, passed away on Thursday (May 9, 2013) at home, after a period of declining health.
Reba was a retired nurse, having worked at St. Mary's Hospital and for Dr. George Sutherland.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, William J. and Minnie (Skeen) Blevins; and six brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by a daughter, Cheryl Pangburn and husband Paul of Sunland, CA; a son, Gary Cutting and wife Peggy of Big Stone Gap; two sisters-in-law, Inez Blevins and Marie Blevins of Big Stone Gap; two grandchildren, Jeff Graham and wife Shannon, and Shara Pangburn of California; a truly special great grandchild, Nikki Graham; and several nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to her extended family of caregivers, Patricia, Janet and Becky, who made a huge difference in the last months of her life.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday (May 11, 2013) at Holding Funeral Home (17 E. 3rd St., N.) in Big Stone Gap.
The funeral service will be conducted at 7 p.m. on Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Nick Brewer officiating.
Burial will be in the Blevins Family Cemetery in Powell Valley on Sunday (May 12, 2013) at 11 a.m.. The funeral procession will meet at Holding Funeral Home by
10:30 a.m. on Sunday to travel to the cemetery.
The family will serve as pallbearers.
