January 24, on route 37 at Bear's Den corner, west of Hogansburg, a one accident claimed the life of Thomas Jocko, 45 of Cornwall Island. His death was the first highway
fatality in the County this year. Mr. Jocko is survived by his
wife, Mrs. Evelyn Day Jocko; father, Abraham and a son; Raymond Day and a daughter, Mrs Harvey (Marjorie) Thompson. In addition he is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Angus (Hattie) Mitchell, Mrs. Mitchell (Annie) Peters, Mrs. Joseph (Sarah) Thompson and Mrs. Fred (Elizabeth) Adams; three brothers Jack, Louis and Martin. The deceased was born at St. Regis February 17, 1921 the son, of Abraham Jocko and the late Margaret Lahache Jocko. He was a steel worker and had been recently working both at Star Lake and Oneonta.
