Services for Clarence Clark, 62, Portales, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Wheeler Starlight Chapel at Wheeler Mortuary in Portales. Frank Poyner and Marlin Poyner will officiate.
Burial will be at Portales Cemetery. Wheeler Mortuary of Portales is handling arrangements.
Clark was born Dec. 4, 1929, in Inez. He died Wednesday at Roosevelt General Hospital. He grew up in Inez and graduated from ENMU in 1957. He had farmed in Portales since 1953. He served many years on the Roosevelt County Fair Board and received a 25-year pin in 1991 for his many years of service in various capacities on the board. He was a member of the Roosevelt County Peanut Commission. He and his wife were active in Starlight Swingers Square Dance Club for several years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and had served on the administrative board of the church. He enjoyed woodworking and was an avid sports fan.
Survivors include his wife, Letha; one daughter, Marla Clark, Roswell; two brothers, Polk Clark, Portales; two sisters, Elizabeth Wortham, Portales, and Freda Ratheamel, Portland, Ore.
Casket bearers will be Wayne Hahn, Troy Clark, Ralph Allison, Tex Belcher, Dick Belcher, Jerry Belcher, Loyd Belcher and Harold Belcher.
Honorary bearers will be all friends and family members.
