Resolution of Respects, Concord Primitive Baptist Church Minutes 1810-1978, Creswell, NC : Whereas it has pleased our heavenly father to remove from our midst by the hand of death our highly esteemed and worthy Brother and well beloved Deacon N.W. Ambrose which sad event at his home in Cherry, Washington Co. NC on September the 11th 1917 for many years he served the church at Concord as deacon and we feel safe to say that no church ever had a more faithful servant while at the same time believing our loss his eternal gain therefore be it resolved first that we sincerely mourn his demise and with sad hearts meekly bow to the will of Him who doeth all things resolved second that his bereaved family have lost a kind affectionate father and the country a highly respected citison resolved that we tender to his family our deepest sympathy and commend them to Him who has promised to be with them in time of trouble heather will He forsake His children. Resolved fourth that a copy of this resolution be sent to the family of deceased and one to Zions Landmark and one to be plased in our church book. Done by order of confarance at Concord on Saturday before the fourth Sunday in September 1917. Elder W. M. Monsees, moderater, W. W. Ambrose, C.C.
