Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. Sat., May 4, for Earl Richard Cross III, 29, rural Madison, who died on April 30, 2013, at his residence.
The Rev. Conrad Krahling will officiate in the Weiland Funeral Chapel, and burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
The family will be present on Friday from 4-5 p.m. at the chapel.
Cross was born on June 13, 1983, at Berlin, Wis., to Shari Paramo and Earl Cross Jr. He grew up in Madison and graduated from Madison High School in 2002. He was employed at PCH as a breeding manager. Prior to that, he worked at Jack's Cold Storage.
Survivors include two sons, Brayden Albright of Sioux Falls, and Judah Cross of Madison; his mother and stepfather, Shari and Tom Nelson of Madison; his father, Earl Cross Jr. of Howard; his grandmother, Darlene Cross of Howard; four brothers, William and Daniel Cross, and Corey Welbon, all of Madison, and Robert (Victoria) Cross of Sioux Falls; and a sister, Chelsea Welbon of Madison. His girlfriend - Emily Wegleitener and son - Paxton Wenz of Madison.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Earl Cross and Shirley Hein.
