Grace Z. Hougland, 99, Rockford, Illinois

Grace Z. Hougland, formerly of Beloit, died Monday, January 3, 2000, at the Willows on Main Nursing Home in Rockford.

Survivors are one son, Bill Hougland of Lawrence; one daughter, Sarah Lee Johnson of Rockford, Ill.; seven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 8, 2000, at the McDonald Funeral Home with Reverend Bill Brazil officiating.
Interment of the cremains will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Glasco Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to the United Methodist Church. McDonald Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Rockford, Ill. --- Grace Z. Hougland, 99, Rockford, formerly of Beloit, Kan., died Monday, Jan. 2, 2000, at the Willows on Main Nursing Home, Rockford.
Mrs. Hougland was born Grace Z. Johnson on Nov. 3, 1900, at Piper, Kan., and was a resident of Rockford since 1987, moving from Wichita, Kan., and Beloit, Kan. She was a school teacher and a homemaker. She also owned and operated H & S Hardware Store, Beloit, Kan., with her husband until 1964. She was a member of the Dellrose United Methodist Church, Wichita, Kan.

Her husband, Marion, died in 1986.
Survivors include a son, Bill, of Lawrence, Kan.; a daughter, Sarah Lee Johnson of Rockford; seven grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

The memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at McDonald Funeral Home, 910 N. Campbell, Beloit, KS 67420, the Rev. Bill Brazil officiating. Inurnment will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Glasco (Kan.) Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church.
There will be no visitation. The body was cremated.
