Virginia T. (Colone) Keefer , 88, passed away Monday, May 6, 2013 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. Born in Ft. Wayne she was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Virginia was the last of the original Colone family and her family always came first. In her spare time she enjoyed reading and playing Bingo. Surviving are her husband of 67 years, J. Edward Keefer, son, Steven (Mary) Keefer, daughter, Rebecca (Jerry) Henry, all of Fort Wayne, son, Daniel (Amy) Keefer of Fishers, IN, son, Kevin Keefer, daughter, Amy Keefer, 12 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Mary Colone, sisters, Josephine Cavacini, Martha Leto, and Ann Colone, and brothers, Dominic, Ferdinand, Ralph, Anthony, Frank, and Franklin Colone. Mass of Christian Burial is at 2:00 pm, Friday, May 10, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with calling 1 hour prior. Fr. Daniel Durkin officiating. Calling also at - D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Avenue, Thursday, May 09, 2013 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm & 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm. Burial in Catholic Cemetery , Fort Wayne.
