Denzil Cartrett Lovett, 93, of Lumberton, NC, passed away on May 4, 2013 at Woodhaven Nursing Center in Lumberton.

She was born on April 22, 1920 in Columbus County, NC.

Denzil was preceded in death by her first husband, Alan Norton; her second husband, Walter Lovett; a son, Jerry Weldon Norton; and a sister, Hazel Dyson.

She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Myrtle Monroe of Lumberton; three grandchildren: Terry Norton (Beverly), Rodney Norton, Sr. (Stephanie), and Ellen Nelson (Mike); nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a brother, Benny Cartrett of Concord; a sister, Gladys Strickland of Camden, SC; a niece, Margie Thomas (Larry) of Camden, SC; and a nephew, Johnny Dyson of Chadbourn.

The funeral services will be held at Floyd Memorial Chapel in Lumberton, NC. Burial will follow in Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton, NC.
