Joseph Hennes, aged 55 years, an employee of the Nash Motors Company, Kenosha, died yesterday at the Augustana Hospital in Chicago, after an illness of several weeks from a complication of diseases.
The deceased was born Sept. 13, 1869, in Nohn, Germany, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gerhard Hennes, living his early life in his native country. Thirty-two years ago he came to America and since then had lived most of the time in Kenosha. He had been employed at the Jeffery Plant and later at the Nash Motors for nineteen years and was widely known among the employees there.
Mr. Hennes was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters, the Holy Name Society and the St. Anthony's Society of Racine and of the St. Michael's Benevolent Society. He was married on May 5, 1897, to Miss Eva Boersch of Racine, who with six children survive him. The surviving children are four daughters, Mrs. Edward Orth and Madeline, Elizabeth and Margaret Hennes, and two sons, Gerhard and Robert Hennes, all of Kenosha.
Funeral services will be held in Kenosha Monday morning at 9 o'clock at the St. George Church with burial in the family plat in the St. George Cemetery.
