On Thursday, August 27, 1987 at the Portage General Hospital, Mrs. Alvina Delorme, late of Portage la Prairie, passed away at the age of 73 years.
Mrs. Delorme was born February 2, 1914, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Aymont. She received her education in Portage la Prairie. On April 21, 1931 she married Fred Delorme and they resided all their lives in Portage.Predeceased by a grandson Colin in 1981, she is survived by her loving husband Fred; eight sons, Tom, Jim, Telford and Vern, all of Winnipeg, Russell, Herbie and Hughie, all of Portage and Norman of Calgary; four daughters, Betty, Ivadelle, Neva and Frances, all of Winnipeg.
Also surviving are two sisters, Jean Mazurat and Lillian Buchanan, both of Portage and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mass of the Resurrection will be held from St. John's Roman Catholic Church, Portage la Prairie, on Saturday, August 29 at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. E. M. Kamath celebrant. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery. Prayers will be hold from the Church on Friday, August 28 (this evening) at 8:00 p.m. with Fr. E. M. Kamath officiating.Arrangements are entrusted to the Portage Funeral Chapel, Portage la Prairie.
