Bio
My pet peeves:
1: People who refuse to transfer memorials to relatives!
If the requester is related and the creator isn't, WHY NOT TRANSFER?
ARROGANCE IS THE WORD THAT COMES TO MIND!
I fully believe memorials are better served in the care of family.
If you refuse to transfer to a relative, YOU ARE A COLLECTOR, but even more than that you are also a "HOARDER".
2: People who have their messaging turned off, but yet make all sorts of demands on others, not allowing for two way communication.
If you don't want to hear from others, maybe others would prefer not to hear from you.
3: If you are going to make the effort of adding memorials, at least put in some dates. If you are adding memorials you must know they are dead and with that you should at least know what year, or how do you know they are not still alive. PEOPLE USE DATES! They are as important as the name!
4: STOP creating memorials when you do not KNOW the death or the burial. CONFIRM BURIAL FIRST !!!
==================
I happened across this humorous statement here in a Find-A-Grave profile ... ";The FAQ are guidelines and the guidelines are the RULES. Hence the FAQ are the RULES."
FAQ means Frequently Asked Questions.
Does that mean a question is now a rule?
WOW !!!
==================
I consider the photos I add in here as open for public use. This is a public and free website so I don't make any copyright claim to the photos I upload.
==================
I am willing to transfer any memorial that I have, that is not in my family.
Also please put all possible edits through the suggest edits of the memorials of concern. Don't just send links. Thanks
*** ======== PLEASE NOTE ========= ***
Edits I can't confirm will be declined. I will then consider a memorial transfer.
Should the memorial come back to me, I will reset it to its pre-transfer status.
The reason being, I have had contradictory and reversal edits for memorials, quite often from the same contributor who sent the original edit.
===================
With a little courtesy and common sense this whole grave hunting experience can be very enjoyable. So Be kind to, and respectful of, others on this journey.
