JESSE JAMES KUNTZELMAN, 87 MORRIS - Jesse James Kuntzelman, 87, of Morris, formerly of Winnebago, passed away Sunday, Feb. 13, 2011, in his home. Born Dec. 17, 1923, in Leaf River, the son of Jesse and Gladys (Pals) Kuntzelman. Jesse attended Winnebago High School, where he avidly enjoyed playing football. He was a proud World War II veteran; he fought bravely for his country's freedom. Jesse married Jennie Irene McDonald on Jan. 16, 1946. While in the Rockford area, he farmed and worked for ComEd. His hobby was raising and showing Spotted Poland China swine. In 1976, Jesse and Jennie moved to Morris, where he continued to work for ComEd, retiring in 1989. After his retirement, he became a dedicated Morris Redskins fan. Jesse is lovingly survived by daughters, * * *, both of Morris; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his wife, Jennie on March 2, 2009; and brother, Richard Kuntzelman, in 1968. At Jesse's request, cremation rites were accorded and there will be no service. The family was assisted by Genandt Funeral Home, 602 N. Elida St., Winnebago. [Names of surviving family omitted for privacy.]
